Joel Hernandez

This is Joel, He is 27 with a his wife Judith and their three children, Joy Judith (7 years), Joanna Jubilee (4 years) and their son, Joab Jared (shown at 8 months)

Joel and Judith have worked in Oaxaca City for many years. They had their training with my good friends David and Dr. Gerry Gutierriz with Buenas Nuevas. A great ministry by the way. Joel was trained as an audio recordist and has been to many villages to record their language and scriptures. They were privileged to go with Buenas Nuevas to Spain and stayed a year.

Joel has been editing our Bible School conference classes.

When he picked up the Integrity course to edit he mentioned his desire for a laptop computer to use for field recording and wondered how much one would cost. The Lord laid it on our heart to provide one geared to his specific need. He now has his new Toshiba laptop preset for recording. It is even better than mine. This excites me that we were able to provide this for him. He has very little support coming in and like myself lives strictly by faith.

Joel and his family have been commissioned to go as missionaries to Spain September of 2009 for five years. He will continue to edit our classes via the internet even though he will be on the other side of the world. Isn't modern technology a wonder?

Juan Ramirez Ruiz

Juan, who prefers to be called “Juanito”, grew up on a ranch in a rural area of Oaxaca. His parents had lots of children but very little money. When he was still a boy, it was discovered that Juanito had Muscular Dystrophy. In Juanito’s mind, he was as hopeless as his disease, and eventually became a drug and alcohol addict. While living on the streets, God sent a pastor to share the love of Jesus with Juanito.

Roberto and Lupita Morales

I have known Roberto Morales and Lupita about fifteen or more years. Roberto is from the Isthmus of Mexico in the state of Oaxaca. He has been a missionary to the Indigenous Zapotec and Mije native groups for thirty five or forty years. He has served with several different denominations. He helped start over 80 village missions over the years. He has been the president of three Bible Institutes in Oaxaca. He and Lupita are now serving in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca and their headquarters and another of their missions is near the border in Texas. Roberto has a doctorate in Counseling. Says he doesn’t like being called Dr. His degree has served him well in counseling hundreds to the Lord of young people who lived on the streets in Salina Cruz and elsewhere. He is the author of several books. His heart is missions.
Roberto and Lupita were our first teachers for our new Bible School for Indigenous Village Pastors. Since most of our students are already pastors and leaders in our mountain area of the Isthmus we started out with a course on Integrity. The Pastors personal relationship with Christ. His relationship with his wife and family. His relationship with his church body. His relationship within the community.
We filmed all the classes in the this series in September 2007. We have distributed the audio only to date.  These courses will be offered freely to missionaries for those pastors who have never had any or very little training to become pastors. Go to the link for Agape Mission Bible School.
